Pilates Instructor, Emilia Nihlstorp

Emilia is a creative soul through and through. Her heart has always beaten an extra beat for exercise, health and inner well-being. She is very concerned about how people around her feel and always wants to contribute to creating a good energy.

About

Throughout her upbringing, she has played soccer at a high level. Alongside soccer, she has had a great passion for running. It was in soccer and running that her understanding grew of how important it is for both body and mind to move the body daily. To be able to practice something that makes you forget all the problems around you, to be here and now, log out for a while, and then log back in with more energy.

At the age of 20, she put the football boots on the shelf and a new era started.

Wherever she traveled, the running shoes were there, she also started other types of training to push herself more. It was strength training, HIIT, spinning, yoga etc. The training shifted focus, as the result was only about appearance, while the inside felt worse and worse.

In 2016 she met her husband and in 2018 she became pregnant with their first child, which was not an easy journey. It was there and then that she realized the importance of integrating the body with the mind and soul in order to function on all levels.

When their son was 6 months old, the family moved to Austria as her husband played professional ice hockey. There she became pregnant with her second child. It was in connection with life with two small children under two and a husband who was out and about a lot that she found Pilates.

She started doing Pilates online and was instantly hooked. It was a training that gave her an inner calm and a strength she had not known before. It was a workout that was stress-relieving, it was a workout that finally made her forget everything for a while and become one with body and mind.

Pilates also brought Emilia and Bianca together.

Their husbands played hockey together in their youth, now they met for the first time at their sons' hockey practice. Emilia and Bianca found each other very quickly and it wasn't long until Emilia took her first step into "The Studio of Sweden" and had her first private lesson with Bianca on the reformer.

Then and there a whole new world opened up, and she fell in love with Pilates all over again. She began to see a future with Pilates, thanks to Bianca.

Last spring, she decided to invest in Pilates and become an instructor with BASI Pilates, Comprehensive Teacher Training.

Body Art and Science International (BASI) Pilates is a leading Pilates training academy where students are pushed to become masters in the art of movement and science in anatomy.

She has worked hard to achieve her dream of being able to help others find the benefits of Pilates. To be able to transfer her passion to her clients, to find integration between body, mind, and soul. Tailoring each lesson to the customer's wishes and needs.

She is driven and believes in:
